Sport Rehabilitators to form part of the Pulmonary Rehab MDT team

Sport Rehabilitators have been recommended by the NHS as key potential members of the workforce.

Just published by the NHS, the guidance states that GSRs have the skill set and capacity to help meet the needs of people with co-morbidities and complex needs.

The guidance is designed to be used by providers of pulmonary rehabilitation to expand access to services through developing multidisciplinary pulmonary rehab teams. Choosing your workforce – regulation and exercise specialists describes different groups of exercise professionals and is now published on the FutureNHS page. BASRaT is developing PR lectures and resources including some respiratory exercise physiology. We will keep you updated on when these become available.
